Tomorrow never comes, at least not the day you expected.
Monday, July 16 2012 Very slow and long sail. For 9 hours I’m fighting an incoming tide a foot every hour. To top it off, at the end of the day I’m entering Active Pass with a 3 knot per hour current against me. If it was not for a few spells of fast sailing I would have never kept going. Anchored at Miners Bay ( Mayne Island) for the night.
Tuesday, July 17 2012 First time I step onto Mayne Island. Spend the day exploring. Stores and a Bakery with big mugs of coffee & big muffins, but no WIFI.
Wednesday, July 18 2012 Crossing the Strait of Georgia ( maybe the slowest crossing so far ) with no wind. Seems to be the longest in distance as well ( or maybe it just felt that way with the speed I was making). Anchored off Jericho Beach / English Bay.
Thursday, July 19 2012 Friday July 20 2012 Anchored off Kitsilano Beach, spend to much time and money onshore.
Saturday, July 21 2012 Sailed across the bay to Ambleside / West Vancouver. It’s been a little wet the past few days.
Sunday, July 22 2012 Playing tourist ….
